Nothing says fall quite like the smell of a homemade pie baking in the oven! This Celebration Tree brings together warm autumn colors, fall recipes, and a few playful kitchen touches.
The recipe signs are the stars of the tree. Apple, pumpkin, and sweet-potato pie signs are placed throughout the branches, along with a “Gather Together, Give Thanks and Pie” sign near the top. Together, they make the tree feel a little like a family recipe book brought to life.
To continue the baking theme, I added a small rolling pin, wooden spoons, spatulas, and pie-shaped ornaments. These simple details are what make the tree so much fun. You could even personalize your version by printing a favorite family recipe, mounting it on lightweight cardstock, and adding it to the tree.
Burnt-orange plaid ribbon gives the tree its warm fall color. I used it in the topper, larger bows, and a few loops tucked between the branches. Curly orange ribbon sprays help carry the color from the top of the tree all the way to the bottom.
Because the signs create such a strong theme, just a few specialty pieces are enough to transform the entire tree. It is a warm and cheerful way to celebrate fall, Thanksgiving, family recipes, and—of course—pie!
