Before you rush out to buy new Halloween decorations, have you considered what you already have?
White, black and orange ornaments are especially easy to move from one Halloween tree to another and can give you a completely different look without starting over each year.
This cute little ghost tree is perfect for Halloween! It looks like it needs tons of decorations, but it really doesn’t! I grabbed some adorable ghost decorations from Target and mixed them with Halloween ornaments I already had from my other Boo-themed Celebration Trees. The tree doesn’t need ribbon or fancy picks. The little ghosts are the real stars, so it’s a simple and quick Halloween Celebration Tree to put together.
Shopping List
| Item | Where to Find It | How I Used It |
|---|---|---|
| Large White Ghost Tree Topper | Shop Target Ghost Decorations | The oversized ghost becomes the tree topper and establishes the Halloween theme without needing a large bow or ribbon topper. |
| White Plush Halloween Characters | Shop Target Ghosts & Ghouls | I scattered the larger white characters throughout the tree. Their little black hats and orange accents provide most of the color this tree needs. |
| Small White Hanging Ghosts | Shop Target Ghost Decorations | The smaller ghosts fill the spaces between the larger characters without making the tree look too crowded. |
| 8-Piece White Ghost Decorative Accent Set | See Current Target Ghost Set | Target currently carries an inexpensive 8-piece white ghost accent set that can be used to create a similar look if the original decorations are no longer available. |
| “Boo to You” Ghost Sign | Target – seasonal Halloween décor | I placed this toward the upper-middle portion of the tree so it becomes the main focal point. |
| “Trick or Treat” Ghost Sign | Target – seasonal Halloween décor | The smaller sign sits lower on the tree and helps balance the larger Boo to You sign above it. |
| Black, White & Orange Halloween Ornaments | Reused from my other Boo Celebration Trees | Instead of buying additional ornaments, I reused pieces from other Halloween trees to fill any noticeable gaps and repeat the black, white and orange color palette. |
| Natural Woven Tree Basket | Reused | A neutral basket works with almost any Celebration Tree theme, so this is another piece that doesn’t need to be purchased again each season. |
Halloween merchandise changes from year to year, so some of the exact Target decorations I used may no longer be available. I’ve included links to Target’s current ghost decorations where you can find similar pieces to recreate the look.
